Actress Maanvi Gagroo, who plays Chanchal in the web series Tripling, the third season of which released recently, shared an intimate moment from the sets. She tells us that she broke down watching veteran actor Kumud Mishra perform.
In the show, Kumud Mishra and Shernaz Patel play Chinmay and Charu, Maanvi's onscreen parents. Although the actress knew them earlier, this was the first time she worked with Kumud and Shernaz extensively.
Sharing incidents from the shoot, Maanvi told OTTplay, "I loved working with both Sharnaz and Kumudji. While Kumudji is a man with many anecdotes and gives a papa-wala vibe, Shernaz is a loving and gentle co-star. Being Parsi, Sharnaz tends to speak in English, but Kumudji speaks in chaste Hindi, in his trademark soft manner. That made all of us feel like we are one big family. I want to work with all of them again."
Without giving away any spoilers, Maanvi shared, "In one scene, Kumudji had to shout at another character and I was just supposed to be present in the frame, but it was my interaction scene. However, seeing Kumudji as Anuj shouting, I started crying for real! It felt like my papa was shouting and I could not hold back my tears. That is the power of Kumudji's performance. He is a theatre actor after all, and he can really evoke emotions through his live performance. I was crying and had goosebumps!"
Tripling Season 3, directed by Neeraj Udhwani, also features Sumeet Vyas, Amol Parashar and Kunaal Roy Kapur. It is available to stream on OTTplay and Zee5.
