Despite being the daughter of actress Pooja Bedi and granddaughter of the veteran actor Kabir Bedi, Alaya F had her fair share of struggles before making her Bollywood debut in 2020. However, her career faced another set of challenges due to the global pandemic that followed just after the release of her first film,Jawaani Jaaneman.

During the hard times, the only good thing that motivated her to stay focused was the appreciation and reviews she got from audiences and the film fraternity.

In a candid conversation with OTTplay, the actress opened up about the same.

Alaya told OTTplay, "Yes, reviews matters to me, I read it. I think it is important to reflect and learn. If there are positive points mentioned in a review, I must realise that there are few things about me as an actor that people like, and I must strengthen that for the future and stay true to that. If there are negative reviews, I must work on them so that I can grow as an actor, so overall reviews matter to me. At the end of the day, we actors make movies for the audience so we will be able to listen to the audience and serve them better."

It is interesting to notice how, from her debut film onwards, the young actress has only received positive responses from the audience and critics for her acting, even though not every film worked overall.

Her debut film Jawaani Jaaneman was widely appreciated followed by Freddy and Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat. Even though both films did not impress the critics, Alaya got positive reviews for her sincere performance.

After the release of U-Turn, the actress has an interesting line-up and she feels it gives her a sense of safety.

"When you have projects lined up and you are working on them already, while a film is on release, it helps to feel safe, it's like you have a safety net. Then the pressure before a big release goes away," said the actress who will next be seen in the film Sri opposite Rajkummar Rao.

Alaya also plays pivotal roles in the upcoming multi-starrer film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ek Aur Ghazab Kahani.

The film U Turn is produced by Ekta Kapoor, and directed by Arif Khan, and also features - Priyanshu Painyuli, Rajesh Sharma, Manu Rishi Chadha, Shreedhar Dubey, Apoorva Suman, Tariq Mir - releases on ZEE5 on April 28.
