After Kurup and Aaha, actor Indrajith Sukumaran is gearing up for another month with back-to-back releases. The actor, whose movies are currently running in theatres, will have Vysakh’s Night Drive and Rajeev Ravi’s Thuramukham set to release in cinema halls next month.

Indrajith confirmed this to us in an exclusive interview. Talking about his role in the film, the actor says, “I play a cop in the movie. It’s again very different from the usual police officer roles I have essayed so far.”

The film’s scriptwriter Abhilash Pillai had earlier told us that the movie, which is a road thriller, will have the actor in a stylish role. Apart from Indrajith, Night Drive also has actors Roshan Mathew and Anna Ben in lead roles after their collaboration in Kappela.

Incidentally, Indrajith is also playing a police officer in M Padmakumar’s Pathaam Valavu, which is also scripted by Abhilash Pillai. The actor told us that he has a string of police officer characters coming up.

The actor will be seen donning the khaki and boots in his Tamil film with Vishnu Vishal titled Mohandas, Rathish Ambat’s Theerpu and Shan Thulasi’s Anuradha Crime No. 59/2019, which has him as a circle inspector as part of Crime Branch’s Work Arrangement section.

Indrajith’s second release in December, Thuramukham, meanwhile is a multi-starrer that also features Nivin Pauly, Joju George, Nimisha Sajayan, Arjun Ashokan, Darshana Rajendran and Poornima Indrajith. The film is set in the 1940s and 50s, and revolves around the chappa system that prevailed in Cochin port where labourers were tossed a coin and had to fight among themselves to grab it for the right to work.
