Unni Mukundan is gearing up for back-to-back releases in the next few weeks. The actor, whose latest Telugu movie Yashoda hit theatres on November 11, is also set for the release of his second production venture Shafeekkinte Santosham, which is helmed by Anup Pandalam.
In a recent interview with OTTplay, Unni talked about how a film of this genre was never part of his line-up and how his first film this year, Meppadiyan, changed the audience’s perception.
“Be it Shafeekkinte Santosham or any other romantic comedy, these weren’t even part of our plan. This film is special. After Meppadiyan, I am again producing this family comedy. I have rendered three songs in it as well as written the lyrics for a particular track. I believe it will be a neat film that the family audience can enjoy,” he says.
The movie was recently cleared by CBFC with a clean U rating and is expected to hit theatres by the end of this month or in December. The makers are yet to officially announce its release date.
