Explore the musical marvel of Chamkila's Ishq Mitaye - Song out soon!

The makers of Parineeti Chopra and Dilit Dosanjh's Chamika have just released a short clip of the film’s song, Ishq Mitaye. It features Diljit in a never-seen-before avatar, performing on stage with Parineeti in front of a large crowd.

Sharing the video on Instagram, the makers revealed that the song will be out soon. They captioned the post, “Chamkila dil, Chamkili zubaan- MAIN HOON PANJAB! #IshqMitaye — song out tomorrow on Saregama Music YouTube Channel.” 

Glimpse of the Ishq Mitaye song sparks excitement 

Fans quickly took notice of the post and flooded the comment section by showing their excitement for the song. One user wrote, “So looking forward to ittt,” while another wrote, “The classic trio of Rahman saab, Mohit Chauhan and Irshad Kamil is back.” 

The official handle of Saregama Music recently shared the poster for Ishq Mitaye, revealing that it will be out on February 29. They captioned the post, “Sabse alag andaaz aur kaafi rangeen mijaaz lekar aa raha hai #AmarSinghChamkila.#IshqMitaye — 29th Feb on Saregama Music YouTube Channel.”

Chamkila is the untold true story of Punjab's original rock star, Amar Singh Chamkila. The film centres around the lives of Amarjot Kaur and Amar Singh Chamkila, with Parineeti Chopra playing Amarjot and Diljit Dosanjh taking on the role of Chamkila.

The film sheds light on the tragic events of March 8, 1988, when Amar Singh Chamkila, his wife, Amarjot Kaur, and members of their musical band were assassinated. The story delves into their journey and the impact of their music on Punjab's cultural landscape.
