Extra Ordinary Man, featuring Nithin and Sreeleela, is one of the biggest flops in recent times. The action drama did not even survive a week in theatres and ended as a big dud in Nithin's career. We at OTTplay have already revealed that Disney+ Hostar has bagged the digital rights to the film for a fancy price and the Telugu film will stream from January 19, 2024, onwards.
Well, there is a decent buzz for the digital release, as not many have watched the film online. Now, Sreeleela has opened up about the digital release of the film and says that all those who missed the film can get to see it online. "Extra Ordinary Man is a fun film and did not get its due during its theatrical release but I feel once you watch it with an open mind, you will enjoy the comedy and commercial aspects of the film".

Sreeleela teamed up with Nithin for the first time in his career and there were a lot of expectations from the lead pair. But the disappointing narration from Vakkantam Vamsi spoiled the show completely. The critics panned the film and termed it a silly and over-the-top action drama. Sreeleela's dances were appreciated by the masses but the songs were ordinary.
Harris Jayraj composed the music and not one song from the film managed to impress the audience. Nithin plays a junior artist in the film and his role flopped with even his fans. This is the second time that director Vakkantam Vamsi has failed with his story. His first film with Allu Arjun, Na Peru Satya, was also a massive flop at the box office. Now, he has given yet another dud in the form of Extra Ordinary Man.
Right now, it looks like it will be very difficult for him to bag new offers in Telugu cinema. On the other hand, Hotstar has spent a decent amount on the OTT rights, and thanks to this deal, the makers are seeing a turnaround in the losses.
Nithin has moved on to his new film, Thammudu, which is being directed by Venu Sriram. Nithin has gone back to producer Dil Raju with this film and he is hoping that Dil Raju's script selection for Thammudu will bring him back into the game.
The supporting cast in Extra Ordinary Man also comprises Annapurnamma, Pavitra Naresh, Ravi Varma, Hyper Aadhi, Venkatesh Mummidi, Jagadeesh, Soniya Singh, Satyasri, Hari Teja, Shrikant Iyenger, Rupa Lakshmi, Prudhvi, Shiva Ramachandravarapu, Sahithi, Satya Krishnan and Pradeep. Arthur A. Wilson ISC, Yuvraj J and Sai Sriram are the cinematographers, while Prawin Pudi is the editor.
