Manu Ashokan, the Malayalam filmmaker who rose to fame with the acclaimed films Uyare and Kaanekkane, is set to release his third directorial venture. After the success of the Tovino Thomas-Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer, the director is teaming up with the popular OTT platform Sony LIV yet again, for his next outing. Manu Ashokan’s third directorial venture, which has been titled Eyes, is reportedly set to have a direct OTT release on Sony LIV soon.

Eyes to release on Sony LIV

As per the latest reports, Eyes, which is touted to be an emotional thriller, has been slated to be released on Sony LIV, by the second half of 2024. The highly anticipated project stars Dev Mohan, Shruti Ramachandran, and Saniya Iyyappan, in the lead roles. Director Manu Ashokan is joining hands with acclaimed scriptwriter duo Bobby-Sanjay, and producer TR Shamsudheen yet again for the project. Ranjin Raj is composing the songs and original score for the project, which is expected to have its official launch, very soon.

Uyare and Kaanekkane - Where to watch on OTT?

The debut directorial venture of director Manu Ashokan, which featured Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles, is one of the most loved Malayalam films of recent times. Uyare revolves around the life of Pallavi Raveendran, an ambitious woman who suffers a major setback in her life after her lover Govind throws acid on her face. You can watch Uyare on popular streaming platforms Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.

Kaanekkane, the second directorial venture of Manu Ashokan, featured Tovino Thomas and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. Aishwarya Lekshmi and Shruti Ramachandran appeared as the female leads in the film, which narrates the story of Paul Mathai and his clash with Allen, the husband of his late daughter, Sherin. The highly acclaimed emotional drama, which is written by Bobby and Sanjay, is currently available for streaming on Sony LIV.
