Director Anil Ravipudi, who has delivered some entertaining comedies in recent times, is set to join forces once again with Telugu star Venkatesh. The director and actor, who had previously collaborated on the F2 franchise (F2: Fun and Frustration, F3: Fun and Frustration), are all set to team up for an upcoming comedy-family drama. The film will be backed by popular producer Dil Raju under his production company, Sri Venkateswara Creations.
The film is speculated to be an out-and-out entertainer, with many other actors being roped in to play pivotal roles. Although sources have confirmed the collaboration, an official confirmation from the team is awaited.
Earlier, it was announced that popular Telugu producer Dil Raju is all set for the Hindi remake of Anil Ravipudi's comedy drama, F2. Interestingly, Anil will be directing the Hindi remake as well, marking the director's Bollywood debut.
According to sources, producer Dil Raju is interested in making this comedy entertainer in Hindi with two actors from different generations. The producer believes that the subject of F2 has the potential to entertain Hindi audiences as well, who have previously hailed stories like Pati Patni aur Woh.
For the uninitiated, the story of F2 follows two men who try to control their dominating wives. Revolving around extramarital affairs and other family aspects, the Telugu film won critical acclaim and saw huge success upon its release. Director Anil has also helmed other successful comedy action films, such as Raja: The Great, Pataas, Supreme, Bhagavanth Kesari and Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Venkatesh was last seen in the action drama Saindhav, which was directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Although there was huge hype around the film before its release, it failed to live up to expectations, leading to a huge loss at the box office. The film is now set to make its OTT debut on Amazon Prime Video on February 3.
