From the time the teaser dropped, followed by the trailer and song, the excitement regarding the upcoming web series Faadu - A Love Story, starring Saiyami Kher and Pavail Gulati, is only increasing.

In a quick chat with OTTplay, Saiyami shared why the makers decided to name the series Faadu - A Love Story.

Saiyami told OTTplay, "First, it is a very real love story and every character in the show is presented as real as possible; that was the vision of Ashwini ma'am (director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari). It is an intense love story in which both the lead characters are shown as passionate lovers, but they also face a lot of struggles. Overall, the feeling of the love story is 'faadu'! Saumya Joshi, who is the writer of the story, said that if it is a love story, it has to be faadu and not anything ordinary. So, the title of the show is actually an expression rather than just a title or word."

The story is about two poets, Manjiri and Abhay, who have very different philosophies in life. They come from different socio-economic backgrounds and even though they fall in love with each other madly, destiny serves them differently.

While the trailer of the show looks quite promising, the music and background score by Santhosh Narayanan is touching many hearts.

Since Saiyami is sans makeup in the series, she said, "It was so easy for me to get ready on the set; there was no makeup or even if it was applied, it was very minimal. I have naturally curly hair, so does my character Manjiri. In a way, mine and my character's appearance is simple and similar, so I would get ready in 10 minutes!"

The show, Faadu - A Love story, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and produced by Indranil Chakraborty, also features Pavail Gulati, Deepak Sampat, Abhilash Thapliyal and Neeraj Kashyap, among others. It is set to stream on SonyLiv on December 9.
