Faces of Kara: Dhanush film makers unveil posters of Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunaas and others

The makers of Kara have been unveiling the character posters from the film one by one, setting up anticipations for the film. Touted to be a rural action-drama Kara is set to release in theatres on April 30. Starring Dhanush in the lead role, Kara is directed by Vignesh Raja.

Who are the faces of Kara in Dhanush film?

We had earlier reported that actor Dhanush is starring in a film titled Kara. The film is written and directed by Vignesh Raja in his second directorial after the critically acclaimed Por Thozhil. While Kara is slated for April release, the makers of the film have been revealing the character posters of each cast member in the last few days.

After unveiling Mamitha Baiju as Selli, the makers had introduced KS Ravikumar as Kandhasaami, Suraj Venjaramoodu as cop Bharathan, Karunaas as Kasi Maayan and in the latest, Jayaram as Muthu Selvan. Each of the posters have the respective artistes in their getups, stirring mystery on how they add to the world of Karasamy, the character played by Dhanush. With some character posters to come, Kara makers have been building a mystery over its plot and what to expect.

What is Kara release date

Kara is slated for a summer release on April 30. The film will be hitting theatres just a week after the Tamil Nadu state elections. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. Kara marks the first time Dhanush is collaborating with Vignesh Raja. With music by GV Prakash Kumar, Kara is anticipated to be a rural action drama and set against the backdrop of Ramanathapuram. With Dhanush playing the titular character Karasamy, the film is one of the most-anticipated biggies to hit theatres in April. Actor Mamitha Baiju returns after the success of Dude last year.
