Fahadh Faasil has become quite popular with Tamil audiences, essaying the role of Rathnavelu in director Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan, which was released earlier this year. Vadivelu played the protagonist in the film, who comes into conflict with Fahadh's  character, who is a villain. And if rumours are to be believed, it looks like the two celebrated actors are set to share screen space once again.

According to whispers, Fahadh and Vadivelu are set to star in a fun road movie that will be helmed by a debutant director. Super Good Films, which bankrolled films like Vijay's Jilla and the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer, is expected to back this new project. Fahadh's upcoming movie about off-road drivers, Hanuman Gear, is also backed by Super Good Films.

Fahadh received high praise for playing a toxic character in Maamannan. He played the role of a powerful politician who is high on caste pride. Vadivelu also played a politician in the film, but his character takes a stand against the caste discrimination that his community has been facing. Both actors were lauded for their impressive performances.
