Falimy, the family dramedy that features Basil Joseph in the lead role, hit the theatres in November 2023. The movie, which is written and directed by newcomer Nithish Sahadev directorial was originally supposed to have its OTT release on the renowned digital streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, on December 15, 2023. However, the recent updates confirm that the OTT release of Falimy has been pushed.

Falimy gets a new OTT release date

For the uninitiated, Disney+ Hotstar had earlier included Falimy in the list of the upcoming projects, which are slated to release on December 15, 2023. However, the streaming giant later decided to push the release to December 18, Monday, due to undisclosed reasons. The new OTT release date of Falimy was officially confirmed by leading man Basil Joseph and his team, recently.

As per the latest updates, it has been confirmed that Falimy will have its OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar, on December 18. The family dramedy is expected to stream on the famous platform from midnight on the above-mentioned date. The Basil Joseph directorial is expected to be available in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, for streaming.

All about Falimy

The family dramedy stars Basil Joseph in the role of Anoop aka Anu, a young man who struggles to struggles keep a rapport with his dysfunctional family. Anu is also desperately trying to find the right life partner, and when he does, the engagement gets called off at the last minute. The protagonist, who is frustrated with the setbacks, agrees to fulfill his grandfather’s wish to Varanasi, and this leads to a hilarious turn of events.

Jagadeesh played Anoop’s middle-aged father Chandran in Falimy, which stars Manju Pillai in the role of his mother Rema. The Nithish Sahadev directorial features Sandeep Pradeep, Meenaraj Palluruthy, and Raina Radhakrishnan, in the other pivotal roles. Vishnu Vijay composed the music score for the movie. Bablu Aju is the director of photography. Falimy is jointly bankrolled by Cheers Entertainment and Super Dooper Films.
