Basil Joseph’s comedy drama film Falimy, helmed by debutant director Nithish Sahadev, has made its OTT debut today (December 18). The movie is now available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Also starring Jagadish, Manju Pillai and Sandeep Pradeep, the dramedy revolves around a dysfunctional family, where Basil plays Anoop, a young man who is eager to get married, while Jagadish plays his irresponsible father.

Falimy, headlined by Basil, is now available on Disney+ Hotstar. This film will be streamed in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada.
It was earlier announced that the film will be released on OTT on December 15, but later the date got pushed to December 18. The film was released in the theatres on November 17.
Falimy’s plot, cast and crew
The story of Falimy revolves around a family, where Basil plays a young man (Anoop), who is eager to get married, while Jagadish essays the role of his irresponsible father. Anoop’s brother advises him that instead of going for an arranged marriage, he should opt for a live-in relationship, as that would be less ‘time consuming and easier’. The rest of the plot concentrates on the family travelling from Thiruvananthapuram to Varanasi to find a bride for Anoop.
The comedy drama film’s cast also includes Raina Radhakrishnan and Amith Mohan Rajeshwari. Icon Cinemas has distributed Falimy. Scripted by Nitish and Sancho Joseph, Vishnu Vijay of Thallumaala and Kasargold fame has scored music for the movie.
Basil Joseph’s upcoming projects
The actor-director is currently shooting for Jeethu Joseph’s dark comedy, Nunakuzhi. Basil will also appear alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, helmed by Vipin Das, who is known for Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Furthermore, he will feature in Varshangalkku Shesham, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. It also stars Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Dhyan Sreenivasan and Nivin Pauly. It is also said that Basil will be directing a Bollywwod movie, starring Ranveer Singh.
