After establishing herself as one of the top lead actresses in the industry, she has added yet another feather to her cap, this time around for a cutout. A video of the artistes working on the cutout has been doing the rounds on social media. In the video, one of the persons is seen stating that this is the first time that a cutout is being erected for a heroine. Fans of the actress are excited about the same and have been widely sharing the video on their social media handles.

Nayanthara's latest outing is the horror thriller Connect, which is helmed by Ashwin Saravanan, with whom she had earlier teamed up for Maya (2015). The film, which is bankrolled by Vignesh Shivan under his home banner The Rowdy Pictures has opened to mixed reviews at the box office. The film has Vinay Rai, Anupam Kher and Sathyaraj as part of the star cast.

In a recent interview for the promotions of her film, Connect, Nayanthara told host and actress Divyadarshini that she didn't come into the industry with any plan or dream." I was very young then, barely 18, I think and I just went with the flow. Today, when I look back, I find it difficult to believe that I have already completed 20 years in the industry, the exact date being this Christmas (December 25)." She added that after a certain point of time, she realised that when films are discussed, she wanted her name to be etched somewhere.
