In shocking news, it has been revealed that South Korean actor and model Jung Chae Yull was found dead in her house on April 11. She was 26 years old.
The cause of death is yet to be determined.
The Zombie Detective actor was shooting for the K-drama Wedding Impossible. The production company has halted shooting, and it is unclear what the future of the series is.
Her management company announced her death and said that Chae Yull's funeral will be held privately, while requesting that people refrain from spreading any rumours surrounding her death.
The statement read, "Actress Jung Chae Yull left our side on April 11, 2023. In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, who must have been in greater sadness than anyone else, the funeral will be held quietly, in private."
It further read, "Please wish for Jung Chae Yull, who had always been earnest in her pursuit of acting, to rest in peace in a warm place. We earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles or spreading rumours."
Meanwhile, Chae Yull's last Instagram post, which she uploaded three days before she passed away, has gone viral. The actor had uploaded several pictures of herself holding a bottle of alcohol and sipping it from a glass as she appeared to listen to music on headphones.
Shocked fans have been commenting on the post, hoping that she rests in peace. One user wrote, "You deserved more love than this world could give."
Chae Yull's first tryst with fame was in the 2016 fashion reality TV series Devil’s Runway. Following this, she made her film debut with the 2018 movie Deep before going on to star in the K-dramas Zombie Detective and I Have Not Done My Best Yet.
