Fans of Fantastic Beasts, hold your hat. The dark secrets of Dumbledore are going to be out soon. The third instalment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise has announced its title and release date. Warner Bros is moving up the movie's release date from July 15, 2022. The studio announced the new date on Wednesday. Here's what we know all about the film so far.

What will Fantastic Beasts 3 be about?

It is the sequel to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). J. K. Rowling had tweeted earlier that the film will see the "true glory" of Ilvermorny Professor Eulalie Hicks, played by Jessica Williams. Nothing much about the plot of the film is out yet. The film is likely to be set, at least partially, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Also according to Harry Potter fandom, the film will be set in multiple locations, such as Berlin, China, and Hogsmeade as Richard Coyle changed his location on his Twitter bio to 'Hogsmeade', and the Fantastic Beasts fansite mentioned one of the few locations is the 'Hogs Head Pub'. Dan Fogler reportedly described the film as a set-up for World War II, suggesting that the film is set at some point before September 1939.

What is Dumbledore's secret?

According to JK Rowling, Dumbledore is in love with Gellert Grindelwald which will reportedly be explored in the Fantastic Beast 3. It is yet to be confirmed if it is a love that is reciprocated, painful or unrequited. 

Is the filming of Fantastic Beasts 3 over?

The filming began in September 2020 and is completed. It is currently in post-production works.
