FX’s hit anthology series is making the highly anticipated return with Fargo season 5. The crime anthology series is directed by Noah Hawley and rolled its fifth season in November.

When and where to watch

FX revealed that two new episodes will be unveiled on Tuesday, 21 November at night. However, it will be available to stream online on Hulu the next day. It is also available on Disney+Hostar.

Based on the 1996 Coen brothers film, this crime-caper drama series first premiered with season 1 in 2014, starring Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, Martin Freeman, and Allison Tolman in notable roles. The popularity led the series to continue with the following installments.  The fourth season, aired 3 years ago in 2020, and the story took place in 1950s Kansas City, Missouri.

The newest installment takes place in Minnesota and North Dakota in 2019.

Plot/cast of Fargo

In the power-packed trailer, we get a glimpse of the normal life of Dot Lyon wrapping up her mysterious past. The simple-looking woman battles criminals like a professional with her quick wit and fighting skills.

"After an unexpected series of events lands "Dorothy 'Dot' Lyon" in hot water with the authorities, she is suddenly "plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind," read the official synopsis.

Starring Juno Temple in the role of Dot Lyon, Jon Hamm as Sheriff Roy Tillman, Joe Keery as Tillman's son Gator. This dark series also features Jennifer Jason Leighto as Dot's mother, and Richa Moorjani as a police officer.

David Rysdahl, Sam Spruell, Lamorne Morris, and Dave Foley will also be joining the supporting cast.

This dark comedy crime can be streamed on Hulu and it features a total of 10 episodes with each two episodes releasing on Wednesday. It is also available on Disney+Hostar.
