Farhan Akhtar begins location scouting for Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt & Priyanka Chopra starrer Jee Le Zaraa

After the success of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Excel Entertainment has announced 'Jee Le Zaraa,' a film produced in collaboration with Tiger Baby and starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. Farhan Akhtar will direct the film, and Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti will write the screenplay. Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Farhan Akhtar will also produce it. The film's production will soon begin as scouting for the project has already begun.

Farhan Akhtar, the Jee Le Zaraa director, shared a picture of himself in the Rajasthani desert to offer us a glimpse of the scouting. "Searching for gold #locationscout #jeelezaraa #rajasthan," was the caption of his post.  In his post, Farhan mentioned Priyanka, Zoya Akhtar, Katrina, Alia, and others.  As soon as the filmmaker uploaded the picture of the recce, Alia Bhatt, who will play one of the leads in Jee Le Zaraa, commented, "Can't waittttt."

In 2021, Jee Le Zaraa was announced in a special video. The movie appeared to be stalled after that because there were no proper updates. Priyanka gave birth to her first child during this time, Alia got married and had her first child, and Katrina also got married.

While announcing the film on her social media accounts, Alia, Katrina and Priyanka shared a picture of the trio which made fans go gaga over them. They wrote, "2 years ago 3 girls came together with 1 dream There was only one place to go to make that dream come true; to 4 of the funnest dream-makers and storytellers in the business @faroutakhtar @zoieakhtar @reemakagti1 @ritesh_sid And now 50 Zoom calls later. Meanwhile, Farhan’s last directed film was ‘Don 2’ starring Shah Rukh Khan. The film, which released in 2011, is the second installment in the ‘Don’ reboot series.
