Farhan Akhtar reveals why 120 Bahadur isn't titled on Major Shaitan Singh Bhati: 'This film is about the whole company'

120 Bahadur, starring Farhan Akhtar, is the upcoming Hindi-language war film of 2025. The film is based on the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China War. In the film, Farhan plays the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. However, a section of social media claimed that the film focuses more on Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, while 120 brave soldiers are ignored, so why is the film titled 120 Bahadur? In a new interview, Farhan clarified why the film is titled 120 Bahadur and not Major Shaitan Singh Bhati.

In a chat with Rajat Sharma, Farhan Akhtar was asked why 120 Bahadur is not titled Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. To this, Farhan said that if he just wanted to make a film on Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC, then he would have kept the title Shaitan Singh. 

"That would have been the easiest thing. There wouldn't have been any controversy. Everyone would have said that a film is being made on Shaitan Singh Ji PVC. But this film is about the whole company. That's why we have named it as 120 Bahadur. Because the contribution of the rest of the people in winning that battle was just as much as theirs," Akhtar explained.

The film stars Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. It also stars Raashii Khanna as Major Shaitan Singh's wife, Vivan Bhatena, Eijaz Khan, Ajinkya Deo as a Brigadier, Ankit Siwach, Ashutosh Shukla, and others.

The film is directed by Razneesh Ghai. The trailer features a voiceover by Amitabh Bachchan. Filming took place at high-altitude locations in Ladakh, where temperatures were extremely cold.
