Faria Abdullah on her role in Aa Okkati Adakku - ‘I play a free-spirited woman, unlike...’

Telugu actress Faria Abdullah, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Aa Okkati Adakku with Allari Naresh, spilled the beans about her character in the film. She said that she plays the character of Shruti, a free-spirited woman, who prefers to live with no plans and regulations. “The entire story revolves around the theme of marriage and is dealt with in a very entertaining manner that will captivate everyone,” the actress revealed.  

She also said that although her character is an open-minded person, the hero’s character is quite the opposite. “He (Allari Naresh’s character) plans everything in life. Though they are poles apart, they eventually fall for each other,” the actress said.  

Post the success of Jathi Ratnalu, Faria failed to get good roles in the industry. Hence, the actress has pinned all her hopes on Aa Okkati Adakku to make a strong comeback in the Telugu cinema.

Directed by Malli Ankam, the upcoming film stars Allari Naresh and Faria Abdullah in the leading roles. The upcoming comedy drama also marks the Telugu acting debut of Hindi iconic comedian Johnny Lever's daughter, Jamie Lever. Satyam Rajesh, Vennela Kishore and Viva Harsha have also played key roles in the upcoming comedy drama.

Aa Okkati Adakku plot

From the trailer, it is believed that Allari Naresh plays a man who is desperate to get married but has tough luck in finding a suitable match. He leads a middle-class life, and everyone in his society keeps taunting him about his marriage plans. Though the story might seem outdated, director Malli Ankam has narrated the tale with a contemporary twist, making it appear fun and entertaining in the trailer. Gopi Sundar composed the music for this film, which is produced by Rajiv Chilaka.

Allari Naresh, who is known as the comedy king in Telugu cinema, had been starring in serious roles for over the last two years or so. As the actor returns to the comedy genre with Aa Okkati Adakku, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the film.  

The film is slated to hit the big screens on May 3.
