Veteran actress Farida Jalal has been a part of the Hindi film industry for the longest time now. She has played some memorable characters in Bollywood movies. Now, the 75-year-old actress has reportedly gotten on board for Welcome To The Jungle. The senior actress will be an integral part of the comic caper, which boasts a talented ensemble star cast, including Akshay Kumar. This film will mark her return after a 4-year hiatus from films.

A source told Hindustan Times that Farida Jalal takes on fewer projects these days because of her age. It is also because she is selective about the work she does. However, the veteran actress agreed to be a part of Welcome To The Jungle when she heard the script. She found it to be a family entertainer.
"She has maintained one thing all these years: she always stars in films that a family can sit and watch together, right from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) to Batti Gul Meter Chalu (2018)," a source told the publication.

Apart from Farida Jalal, the star cast of Welcome To The Jungle includes Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suneil Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Dutt, Shreyas Talpade, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, and Johny Lever, among others. Actresses Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta and Disha Patani are also part of this comic caper. The third installment of the film is being helmed by Ahmed Khan.
When will Welcome To The Jungle be released?
Produced by Firoz Nadiawala and Jyoti Deshpande, Welcome To The Jungle is all set to hit the silver screen this year. The third installment of Welcome will be released in cinemas on December 20, 2024. However, it remains to be seen if the film turns out to be a good Christmas gift for the audience or not.
