One of the surprisingly good films released in 2023 is Farrey. Alizeh Agnihotri, the niece of Salman Khan, made her Bollywood debut in the Soumendra Padhi-directed film. Now, the film is ready for its OTT release after its theatrical run. Yes, Farrey will be out on ZEE5 on February 9, 2024, almost three months after it hit the big screen.
Plot synopsis of Farrey
In Farrey, An orphan prodigy named Niyati lives with her warden in a Delhi orphanage. Niyati eventually becomes the top student in the country in the 10th board exams and gets a scholarship to a prestigious school. There, she becomes entangled in a cheating ring where the stakes are high and the profits are even higher when her wealthy pals get her to help them cheat on examinations by coming up with complex methods. However, her losses could outweigh her profits.

Commercial reception and box office numbers
The film's failure to generate Rs. 3 crore in its first week belies its subsequent commercial disaster. According to Sacnilk, an industry tracker, it has made a total of 2.58 crore rupees in India. Many critics lauded Agnihotri's performance, which contributed to the film's positive reviews.
Earlier, while talking about the film, Alizeh said in an interview that Farrey is huge and a newcomer film. She added that it's a film with a female protagonist that reflects modern tastes. Farrey isn't very out of the ordinary, in her opinion, but it stands out when compared to comparable debuts in the industry. The young actor also said that the film has nothing romantic or sentimental about it, and it's a new representation for female actors in Bollywood.
She went on to say that any film like Farrey would be right up her alley. She wants to do a film that she en joys, and that was her only wish, and she is relieved that it came true. Attempting new and difficult things is something one should constantly strive for. With each film Alizeh is a part of, she hopes to continue the same.
