Farzi 2: Raj and DK soon to develop the second season of Shahid Kapoor’s show; Here’s when it will go on floors

Shahid Kapoor made his digital debut with a splash indeed, with Raj and DK’s thriller Farzi. The highly anticipated series seemed to live up to the hype, with critics and audiences alike having loved the show. And in some good news for fans, the makers are currently developing the second season of the series.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Farzi creators Raj and DK have already decided how they want the show’s story to progress in season 2. The makers were very excited for the next season, and were planning to mount it on a much larger scale than season 1.

The duo would soon start writing the script of the second season soon, which would continue the story from where season one left off. A source told the portal that Raj and DK were currently focussing on the first season of the Indian version of the Russo Brother’s Citadel. The Hindi version will star Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles.

The filmmakers were also busy with the upcoming third season of Manoj Bajpayee’s web series The Family Man. Both Citadel and The Family Man season 3 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. After wrapping up both the shows, Raj and DK would take Farzi season 2 on floors.

In addition to Shahid, Farzi’s first season also featured Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra, and Amol Palekar in prominent roles. The review for the series on OTTplay reads “Until Farzi reaches its climactic stage, you just want to know if Shahid and Sethupathi will come face-to-face or not. That becomes the talking point for which you might be waiting for a long time.”

The first season of Farzi is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, in the languages of Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.
