If you watched the Kannada dubbed version of Amazon Prime Video’s most latest presentation Farzi, which has Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead and thought that some of the voices sound familiar, well, it’s because the makers took extra effort in ensuring the quality of the dubbing is good, by getting people like Pranaya Raja Srinath and Dia fame Pruthvi Ambaar, among others, on board to provide voice talents.

Pruthvi, in fact, gets the meatiest job, dubbing for Shahid Kapoor’s character Sunny on the show created by Family Man fame Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, better known as Raj & DK. Now that the show is streaming on Prime Video and audiences have been appreciative of the dubbing quality, Pruthvi has taken to social media about the experience of providing his voice for the Kannada version. Pruthvi, who said that he enjoyed the process, said that it was a beautiful learning experience. He shared a few images from the dubbing studio and wrote, “During the dubbing of Farzi , lucky and happy to be voice of @shahidkapoor sir for Kannada version of #FarziWebSeries, it was a beautiful learning process too for me ❤️Really enjoyed it while dubbing now it’s your turn to witness this beautiful journey. “The actor added, “Thank you @PrimeVideoIN @sekarprofficial @ShriRudhra for this beautiful opportunity #SparshPV and Anand sir thank you for helping me out in everything.”

Pruthvi, whose big break in Kannada cinema came with the 2020 tragic love story Dia, went on to work on the Hindi and Marathi versions of the film and reprising his character. The actor, who was last seen onscreen in Sugarless, a film about a young man’s struggle with diabetes, has a fairly long list of Kannada films ready for release. For starters, there is the retro, slice-of-life film Dooradarshana, followed by projects like, For Regn, Life is Beatiful, Bhuvanam Gaganam, Aba Jaba Daba, Happily Married, Pentagon, Matsya Gandha, Ailu, among others. He is also set to make his Tamil film debut with Mazhai Pudikatha Manithan.
