Farzi trailer launch: Vijay Sethupathi claims he needs to reveal he is working with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif to get 'validation' from fans

Farzi trailer was released on Friday featuring Shahid Kapoor in his intelligent criminal avatar with Vijay Sethupathi as a badass cop. The Raj & DK directorial also stars Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna and Regina Cassandra in pivotal roles. 

During the trailer launch event, when asked about his experience of working with Raj & DK on a Hindi project, Sethupathi managed to garner immense laughs and applause with his comment and said that whenever he informs someone that he is working with the dynamic director duo, he also needs to tell them that he is working with Shahid Kapoor because only then they think that it is the big deal. 

He went on to add, "Here, I have to say that I am the villain in Shah Rukh sir’s movie and I am working with Katrina Kaif. Only then, do they respect me! So, it depends on which artist I am working for.” 

After Farzi, Sethupathi is also set to be seen in a negative role in Atlee's espionage action thriller film, Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover and Yogi Babu, and also has Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn in cameo roles. 

Post that, the Tamil star will be seen in Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas opposite Katrina Kaif with Sanjay Kapoor and Vinay Pathak.

Directed by Raj & DK, the upcoming high-paced action-thriller series also has Prammod Sanghi, Kubbra Sait, Anna Ador, Amol Palekar and Zakhir Hussain in key roles.

Farzi is slated to have a worldwide premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 10.
