Following a horrific event, their lives begin to unravel, particularly when Philip chooses to put a legal case ahead of something far more significant. Cast: Jayaram, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Sarayu

A movie that centres on a father who raises his son to be a worthy member of the community while following the lives of three families. The movie also discusses other adolescent concerns and the contemporary social issues that affect schoolchildren. It has a few lovely and thought-provoking messages in it.

Meow (Manorama Max)

Director: Lal Jose

Cast: Soubin Shahir, Mamta Mohandas and Salim Kumar

Meow narrates the tale of Dasthaker, who, in spite of his strict behaviour, is able to understand his children and make ends meet after his wife, a homemaker, leaves them. The movie changes as Dasthaker grows as a person and as he learns more about his kids.

The Great Father (Sun NXT)

Cast: Mammootty, Arya, Sneha and Anikha

When businessman David Nainan returns home from work, he discovers his daughter Sarah unconscious from sexual abuse. David gets very upset when Sarah eventually recovers and tells him that she had been assaulted by a serial killer named Joker. An irate David decides to find him and kill him in order to protect other girls.

Makal (Manorama Max)

Director: Sathyan Anthikkad

Cast: Jayaram, Naslen K and Meera Jasmine

After spending more than ten years in the Gulf, Nandan comes home to be with his wife Juliet and daughter Aparna. Juliet moves to a new location after obtaining a job, which enables Nandan to get to know his daughter. The main plot point of the movie is how their relationship will be affected by their generational differences and misunderstandings.
