Fatima Sana Shaikh drops pictures with Anurag Basu; fans ask for 'Metro...In Dino' updates

Ever since Fatima Sana Shaikh featured in 2016 blockbuster Dangal, there has been no turning back in her career. She has been in limelight for various reasons, be it her close connection with actor Aamir Khan or her work-related film choices.

Today, Fatima dropped a bundle of pictures along with filmmaker Anurag Basu on her social media handle. Notably, the 31-year-old will next be seen in Anurag Basu’s directorial 'Metro...In Dino'.

In the pictures, Fatima can be seen posing with Basu in comfortable summer attires. She captioned: “Hey you! @anuragbasuofficial”.

Earlier, some netizens were confused whether the two are dating each other. However, such is not the case as the two are busy working for their upcoming film.

Basu is happily married to Tani Basu and has two daughters, Ishana (born in 2004) and Ahana (born in 2007).

Fatima, on the other hand, is often clicked along with Aamir Khan and the two are rumoured to be dating each other for a long time.

In 2016, Fatima portrayed wrestler Geeta Phogat in the top-grossing sports film Dangal. Later, she bagged several roles in various films which cemented her position in the industry. Some of her popular projects are Ludo (2020), Ajeeb Daastaans (2021), and Modern Love Mumbai (2022) to name a few.

Interestingly, Ludo was directed by Anurag Basu as well. 

Fatima will later be seen in Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur. This film is being directed by Meghna Gulzar.

Metro…In Dino is an upcoming film. It is a spin-off to the 2007 movie Life in…Metro, which was directed by Anurag Basu.

Metro…In Dino is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu. The film stars an ensemble of actors such as Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film is set to be released theatrically in December this year.
