Fatima Sana Shaikh is gearing up for director Tarun Dudeja’s film Dhak Dhak, which also stars Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah and Sanjana Sanghi. Reminiscing about shooting for the film, Fatima shared some enticing behind the scenes pictures, along with a heartfelt note for her co-stars.

Admiring her Dhak Dhak co-stars, Fatima captioned the BTS pictures as, “The journey of #DhakDhak would never be what it was if it wasn’t for these amazing women. Authentic, honest, hardworking and so so FUN! Thank you for enriching my life with your generosity and thank you for making #DhakDhak a memory of a lifetime. My heart beats with joy each time I get to share space with each of you and this ride would never have been what it is if it wasn’t for you.”

In the first picture, Fatima and Dia are sitting on a rock, posing for the camera. In the second, Ratna is engrossed in a conversation with Dia on set, while some other pictures are of the four actresses walking together.

Talking about the film, Dia called the process of shooting for the film as a revelation and life-transforming. “In an industry that’s so patriarchal, it’s difficult to get such a simple, honest, dignified, and feminist story that’s so rooted in empathy. Just like in the story, we were four strangers who came together to tell this story,”she told News18.

Directed by Tarun Dudeja, Dhak Dhak is about four strangers (women) who go on a bike riding trip to the mountains. The struggles they face during their journey sets the premise for the film. Dhak Dhak will be released in theatres on October 13.
