For a show created by Asim Abbasi, Fawad Khan is set to return to the series' space and reunite with his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed. The series will be streamed on Zindagi and on ZEE5, which brings back Khan on Indian screens after five long years. The actor's last movie outing in India was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, directed by Karan Johar. As per reports in Mid Day, Khan plays a single father in the series, attempting to be the adoring dad that his father was not to him.

Talking about the series, the Pakistani heartthrob praised Zindagi for taking bold and brave decisions when it comes to storytelling. Khan also praised how the channel has brought Pakistani content to Indian audiences in the current political climate.

The actor told the tabloid that it's naturally evolving into a platform that promotes diversity of opinion and inclusiveness for all filmmakers, as well as material ranging from mainstream to avant-garde and noir. In this artistic landscape, Khan believes there is a place for everyone.

While Saeed is thrilled to be working again with one of her favourite directors, Asim Abbasi, on Zindagi, she revealed that this new project sets out on a fantastical journey, with some stunning performances from a carefully selected cast. The actor can't wait for everyone to witness the magic that has been created in this lovely limbo-land.

In the series, Saeed's character takes it upon herself to heal and make whole everyone around her, despite harbouring otherworldly secrets.

Whereas Abbasi added that Zindagi has become a pioneer, not only for India-Pakistan OTT collaborations, but also for encouraging artists to push narrative storytelling boundaries. The filmmaker called it a home for many filmmakers, including himself, where they could see their craziest and wildest ideas come to fruition.
