Frank Lammers is set to reprise his role as the menacing drug dealer Ferry Bouman in a new spin-off show titled Ferry. The web series serves as a companion piece or an extension to the 2019 series Undercover which introduced Ferry Bouman to viewers, the vibrant character who would soon become popular enough to warrant its own narrative. Lammers' portrayal of the conflicted personality won a lot of praise and one keenly looks forward to seeing what the new storyline has in store.
The character of Ferry Bouman was also explored in the 2021 film 'Ferry', which served as a prequel to Undercover. In the film, Bouman is sent on a mission to Brabant to avenge the death of his boss Brink's son but things take an interesting turn when he ends up meeting Danielle.
When and where to watch Ferry on OTT
The upcoming series will take this story forward and reveal how the lead character will try to gain a foothold in the Brabant underworld while fighting drug kingpin Arie Track and a motorcycle club in its pursuits. However, when Danielle, the love of his life, learns about the dark side of his life and his business, it begins to become clearer that he has a much bigger price to pay than expected.
Frank Lammers will return in the titular role with Elise Schaap (as Danielle), Raymond Thiry, Tim Haars and others, too, part of the cast. The Dutch show will debut exclusively on Netflix on November 3, 2023.
Who is Ferry Louman?
As already pointed out, Ferry Louman first appears on Undercover as the drug kingpin leading one of the world's largest 'XTC' (or ecstasy). But Louman isn't your usual drug lord and boasts a few interesting quirks that draw the attention of the police forces who plant two 'undercover' officers, Belgian Bob Lemmens and Dutch Kim De Rooij. As Bob and Kim settle in as a couple in a chalet close to that of Ferry and Danielle, the former is tasked with the mighty job of winning the kingpin's trust so that he can do business with him and eventually implicate him.
