The year 2024 for the big screen in the Hindi film industry was kicked off by two massive releases including Merry Christmas and Fighter. The latter, starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead alongside Deepika Padukone, was one of the most anticipated movies in Bollywood ever since its announcement. It not only brought one of the most requested pairs by the fans but also promised an aerial actioner like never seen before in Indian space. The movie was released and opened to mixed reviews but also managed to make decent numbers. Turns out it is winning even bigger accolades on Netflix as it has now started its digital journey exactly two months from its theatrical release.
Fighter Achieves Big Feat On Netflix
Fighter, which was released on Netflix on March 21, has now become a force to reckon with in the very first week of its release, and the movie has become one of the best-performing IPs for the streamer. As per reports making rounds on the Internet, Fighter has become the third most-watched non-English movie of the past week with an insane number of views and viewing hours. The data that proves the same has been counted between March 18 to March 24. Even with only four days out of seven in its run, the Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer has managed to make it to the third position.
The Siddharth Anand directorial is now the third most-watched movie of the last week on Netflix in the non-English category. The film has around 5.9 million views so far. The movie, which is almost three hours long, has 16.2 Million hours in its kitty. This places it in the third position on the list according to Hindustan Times. The first two include Cat and Dog aka Chien et chat on the top position with 6.7 million views and 9.7 million hours viewed. The second position has been taken by Art Of Love, a Turkish movie that stands with 6.6 million views in 10.9 hours

Fighter Beats Salaar & Dunki!
While Fighter has made a mark with the Netflix debut worldwide, it has also beaten some bigwigs at the race in India. The movie has left behind Salaar starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shah Rukh Khan’s third movie of 2023 Dunki too. At their digital debut, Dunki garnered 4.9 million views and Salaar garnered 1.6 million views excluding the Hindi version. This means the Hrithik Roshan starrer is much ahead of the two and there is not even a competition.
Fighter stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone alongside Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and an ensemble. Directed and written by Siddharth Anand, the movie was made at a budget of around 250 crores. It managed to earn Rs 212.50 crores at the Indian box office.
