Siddharth Anand's aerial actioner, Fighter, released in cinemas a year after Pathaan, on January 25, 2024. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, the film got a bumper opening at the box office. The movie performed well within the first five days of its theatrical run. However, Fighter has witnessed a major drop in the collection after day six. Having said that, the film, which got positive reviews, is now inching closer to the Rs 150 crore mark in the domestic market.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Hrithik and Deepika's film Fighter earned approximately Rs 5.75 crore at the ticket window. Considering the day 8 collection of the film, the total box office earning of Fighter now stands at Rs 146.25 crore. By the time day 9 ends, the Siddharth Anand directorial would easily cross the Rs 150 crore mark at the ticket window.
The reason why Fighter hasn't been able to pick up pace at the box office is not known yet. After the film opened to great BO figures, people expected that Hrithik and Deepika's movie would shatter and set several box office records. However, the film is far from achieving any major milestone in India yet.
Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand's Fighter has raced past Rs 250 crore (gross) at the global box office. The film is doing extremely well in the international market as compared to the domestic one. The makers termed Fighter a 'global blockbuster' on social media after it surpassed a significant box office milestone.

Hrithik is seen as Shamsher Pathania in the film while Deepika plays the role of Minal Rathore. Anil Kapoor, on the other hand, essays the part of Rakesh Jai Singh.
