Filmmaker Karan Johar launched the new property, named Your Lens, in association with National Geographic to motivate budding photographers across the country to tie up with the iconic brand and feature them in the TV network’s platforms in India.
Karan Johar, in order to celebrate the art of photography in India, decided to collaborate with National Geographic, which according to him is a truly iconic brand. According to a report by Spotboye, he said, “I have always admired the outstanding and striking visuals they share with the world, inspiring millions of people.”
He talked about this association being close to him as he can pursue his passion for the camera. Being a filmmaker, he believes that a capture through the camera has the power to move our soul and express a myriad of emotions. “The premise of Your Lens is extremely exciting as it gives an opportunity for everyone to showcase their creativity and get featured on a prolific platform like National Geographic,” he said.
He appealed to all the lovers of photography to seize the opportunity to showcase their talent in a well-reputed TV network.
Prominent photographers of our country like Prasenjeet Yadav, Deepti Asthana, and Poulomi Basu will evaluate the entries and showcase the selected clicks on National Geographic India, starting from October 2021.
The themes are widespread ranging from awe-inspiring landscapes and the royal wildlife to vivacious festivities comprising people and their portraits.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is currently involved with hosting Bigg Boss OTT on Voot. He also returned to helm the upcoming project, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani that stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
