Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj gives updates on possibilities of Leo 2 with Vijay and Irumbu Kai Mayavi

Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the sought after directors in Tamil cinema, with the filmmaker able to churn box office successes starring stars like Vijay and Kamal Haasan. While the director is currently busy working on the script of his upcoming film with Rajinikanth, Lokesh revealed if there are possibilities for Leo 2 and Irumbu Kai Mayavi in the future.

Lokesh last directed Leo, starring Vijay in the lead role. The film is the third instalment in the director's Lokesh Cinematic Universe. On the other hand, Irumbu Kai Mayavi is said to be his dream project and initially kick started with Suriya.

Lokesh on Leo 2 and Irumbu Kai Mayavi

Lokesh Kanagaraj attended the Chennai Comic Con for a book launch event, which is taking place on February 17 and 18 at the city. While interacting with the media, the filmmaker spilled beans on the possibilities of Leo 2 and Irumbu Kai Mayavi's future possibilities.

When asked if Leo 2 is possible, he said, "Everything is possible, but there should a time for that. His (Vijay) ambition, right now, is concentrating on higher levels, so I congratulate him. There is always a possibility of Leo 2 and will surely make if and when he calls me.”

Regarding Irumbu Kai Mayavi, the director added, “I read Irumbu Kai Mayavi in childhood and when I entered cinema, I wanted to write something that is rooted as well. But since it is an ambitious and expensive project, I did not want to take it up as my first film and pushed it for a while. Now that I am doing my sixth film, I may do about four films and then do the film at my own time.”
