Finally, a third Munna Bhai film! Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi’s viral video sparks speculations

Who can forget Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi in the now iconic 2003 film, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.? From Munnabhai (Sanjay) and Circuit’s (Arshad) friendship to the heartfelt narratives of the 2003 film and its 2006 sequel, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, there are many reasons to celebrate the film.

Fans have eagerly been awaiting a third Munna Bhai film that has not taken off for several reasons. Which is why a recent video of Sanjay and Arshad meeting in their iconic Munna Bhai avatars has gone viral, with people speculating that a third part in Rajkumar Hirani's franchise may become a reality.

The video features Sanjay in a bright orange shirt and blue jeans and Arshad in a black kurta and black shades --- their look in Munna Bhai --- is taking the internet by storm. Sanjay can also be seen walking in his Munna Bhai avatar on a film set with director Rajkumar Hirani, and the title track of the film playing in the background.

The director is seen saying, “Ahh, Munna is back!" Arshad enters later in his Circuit look and gives Sanjay a hug, as Rajkumar says, “We are back”, in the background.

Fans have been speculating that the third Munna Bhai franchise has been in the making for years, but in an interview earlier this year with India Today, Arshad had revealed that Munna Bhai may not happen again. “This is the weirdest thing. We have a director who wants to make it, a producer who wants to produce it, an audience who wants to see it, actors who want to act in it, and still, it is not happening.”

Although no official confirmation has been made by the makers, fans are expecting to see Munna Bhai and Circuit back again on screen together. While there is no word on Munna Bhai, Sanjay and Arshad will be seen sharing screen space in the third instalment in the Welcome franchise, Welcome Back To The Jungle. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, and others.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the Munna Bhai films are about a local goon named Munna and his friend Circuit, and their many adventures and misadventures.
