FIR actor Vishnu Vishal takes a break from social media; details inside

Vishnu Vishal of FIR-fame, took to Twitter, to announce that he's on a digital detox, insisting on how important is to go on a break now and then. Recently, he announced the title of his next, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, along with a motion poster. Titled Gatta Kusthi, the film will be produced by Vishnu Vishal Studioz and Ravi Teja's RT Team Works. Touted to be a sports film, Gatta Kusthi will be directed by Chella Ayyavu. Vishnu, in a tweet, had described the film as 'Wrestling with a twist'. Gatta Kusthi is the third sports film from Vishnu, following Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and Jeeva. Though Ravi Teja is co-producing the film, we are not sure if he is playing a role in it. For now, it has been confirmed that Sharavanthi Sainath, who has acted in the films Life of Pi and Care of Footpath, is part of Gatta Kusthi. Justin Prabhakaran of Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Radhe Shyam-fame has been roped for the music. Gatta Kusthi has cinematography by Richard M Nathan and editing by Prasanna. 

Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal has Mohandas lined up for release. The film, directed by Murali Karthick, also stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Indrajith Sukumaran, Karunakaran and Shariq Hassan, in important roles. Vishnu Vishal has always been an open book. In 2020, he opened up about battling depression with therapy, training, a diet and yoga. He had written an emotional post on social media about how his divorce after 11 years left him a broken man, resulting in him taking to alcoholism. Vishnu even compared his journey to that of Suriya’s character from Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram. He emphasised how regaining physical strength really helped improve his mental health. Last year, Vishnu Vishal married badminton player Jwala Gutta. The celebrity couple were dating for a while, and made their relationship public on social media around two years ago. Vishnu Vishal's latest release FIR streams on Amazon Prime Video. The action-thriller, directed by Manu Anand, was released in theatres on February 11. FIR stars Gautham Vasudev Menon as a cop. Also, his critically-acclaimed Raatchasan streams on Disney+Hotstar. OTTplay tried reaching out to Vishnu Vishal for a comment, but he wasn't reachable, until the time of publication.
