Firefly trailer takes a deep dive into melancholic Vicky’s quest for peace

Is the team of the Kannada film Firefly being miserly when it comes to revealing details about the story or are they affirming with each glimpse that it is about one man’s emotional journey. Producer Niveditha Shivarajkumar, for whom Firefly is the first step into film production, has been quoted as saying that the film is about presenting a complex emotion in a fun manner. The protagonist Vivekananda, aka Vicky, played by director Vamshi Krishna, is, after all, a man who struggles with insomnia, painful memories that have a much longer life cycle than good ones.

Of course, the question that remains is how audiences will react to a film like Firefly, especially given how difficult it has been for filmmakers to draw people to theatres this year.

Good content will always triumph, believes Niveditha, who is positive that with the right promotions for the target audience, getting her film across to them will not be difficult. Firefly, which has music by Charan Raj, features actors like Rachana Inder, Sheetal Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Sudharani, Veena, Sunder, Sihi Kahi Chandru and many more. Shivarajkumar, who was last seen in Bhairathi Ranagal, has a pivotal cameo in the film. It had been earlier revealed in a theatrical teaser, attached to Bhairathi Ranagal.
