First Day First Show (FDFS) marks the comeback of popular production house Poornodaya Creations in Telugu cinema with a new label, Srija Entertainments. Bankrolled by Srija Reddy, the film features Srikanth Reddy and Sanchita Bashu in the lead. Jathi Ratnalu, Pittagoda director Anudeep KV has written the story for the entertainer jointly directed by Vamsidhar Goud and Lakshmi Narayana P. The film's teaser was launched by director Trivikram earlier today.
The teaser confirms that the film is set in 2001 and revolves around the lead character's attempt to get the tickets of Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster Kushi in his home town. He is further motivated by the fact that his romantic interest had asked for the tickets. The glimpse opens with Vennela Kishore talking about the release of Kushi in Hindi and he takes a jibe at those around him who don't understand the language.
The film showcases the frenzy around the Pawan Kalyan, Bhumika Chawla starrer at the time of its release, right from fan wars in theatres to a pregnant woman waiting at the entrance to catch the first show. First Day First Show, in more ways than one, is a tribute to Kushi and throws a glimpse of the impact it created to a newer generation. The raw humour in the entertainer promises to be its major attraction.
It's only apt that a film about Pawan Kalyan's Kushi is released by the star's good friend and filmmaker Trivikram. Tanikella Bharani, Srinivas Reddy, Mahesh Achanta, Prabhas Sreenu, Gangavva, CVL Narasimha Rao, Vamsidhar Goud and Sai Charan Bojja too play important roles in it. Anudeep KV, Vamsidhar Goud and Kalyan have provided the screenplay for the same, while Radhan has scored the music. Prasanth Ankireddy is the cinematographer. First Day First Show will release in August.
