First single from Ajith’s much-anticipated Valimai to drop today?

Ever since the announcement of Ajith’s Valimai, it has been one of the most-anticipated movies in Kollywood. The loyal fans of the superstar have been waiting and celebrating every announcement of the film till date and most recently, it has been revealed that a single from the movie will be released soon.

Sony Music has said that a release time for the first single from Valimai will be announced at 7 pm on August 2. Other sources also state that the song will drop tonight, some time after 10 PM as well. With the news, social media has been sent into a frenzy as fans get ready for the track from the action-thriller. 

The music and background score for the Ajith movie is composed by Yuvan Sankar Raja. While most of the filming of Valimai is completed, the crew will be heading to an overseas shooting location for an action sequence, filming of which was delayed due to the pandemic.

The first look poster and motion poster of Valimai was released on July 11, nearly 700 days after the announcement of the movie. The motion poster hints at a slick action-thriller that is bound to have a few fast-paced action sequences.

Bankrolled by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor, the movie is directed by H Vinoth. This is the second collaboration between Ajith, Vinoth and Boney Kapoor after Nerkonda Paarvai, the 2019 Tamil remake of Pink, which was directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and featured Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu.

Valimai also features Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya Gummakonda, Pearle Maaney, Yogi Babu, Sumithra, Achyuth Kumar and Pavel Navageethan. A release date for the movie has not been announced yet.
