Usire Nanna Usire, composed by Vivek Chakravarthy, has been sung by Vasuki Vaibhav
Rajeev Hanu, best known as one of the star players on the Sandalwood team – Karnataka Bulldozers – at the Celebrity Cricket League, as well as for the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup tournament, will be back onscreen shortly. The actor’s new film Usire Usire is ready for release and while a date is yet to be announced, the team has just dropped the first single. Called Usire Nanna Usire, the song, composed by Vivek Chakravarthy, and lyrics by K Kalyan, has vocals by singer-composer Vasuki Vaibhav.
The soulful track with a dramatic hint to it is the USP of the film, says Vivek. “The lyrics tell you the story of the film. The treatment is dramatic because of the situation at which the song is placed,” says the composer, adding that he chose Vasuki to sing it “because his voice is absolute bliss to listen to. He puts the right amount of emotion that is required to uplift any song.”
Directed by CM Vijay, Usire Usire, as seen in the teaser, is an inter-faith love story. The filmmaker has been quoted as saying that the story is based on a real-incident that happened in Bengaluru some years ago and had sent shock wave across the globe. Rajeev is paired with Srijita Ghosh in the film, which also stars Tara, Suchindra Prasad, Rajesh Nataranga, Sadhu Kokila, Devaraj, Ali, Bhramanandam, Manju Pavagada, Jagappa, Sushmitha, Seetha Ramu, Nikki Manj and Vijay Preetham, among others.
The highlight of the film, according to the team, is its climax, which features Rajeev’s good pal and mentor, Kiccha Sudeep. The Kannada superstar has shot for his portions that see him play himself. Usire Usire is Rajeev’s first release since his stint on Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8.
