Flashback Friday: When Emraan Hashmi apologised to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for calling her 'plastic' on Koffee with Karan

Karan Johar is known to push his celebrity guests to make controversial comments on Koffee With Karan. In season 4, the Awarapan actor made an appearance on the show. He landed himself in a huge controversy and trouble when he termed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan 'plastic' to answer one of Karan's quirky questions. Even though the actor mentioned that he didn't mean it, he found himself attached to the actress' name and his own comment in multiple news headlines. 

However, post the controversy Emraan went out of his way multiple times to apologise for it in later interviews. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the Murder actor mentioned that he used such a term for Aishwarya without even thinking just to win the coveted Koffee Hamper. "I didn’t mean it. I’m a big fan of Aishwarya. It’s the format of the show. I cannot not say things and not win the hamper. I love her. I have always been a great admirer of her work. I knew people would make big deal out of it… so what, people make a big deal out of nonsense all the time," he told the portal.

Meanwhile, in another chat with Zoom, Emraan blamed the Koffee show host and said that the filmmaker pushed him to say such things.

It's not unknown to us that, indeed, KJo likes to spice things up on his famous celebrity talk show. Not only that a lot of celebrities have also loathed Koffee With Karan because of its format and the fact that it has caused the actors a lot of trouble due to their comments and remarks.

A social media user called Koffee With Karan 'damaging careers,' while another pointed out that how classy Aishwarya is to ignore such comments.
