Priyanka Chopra Jonas has discussed the negative effects of a botched nose job on her health. The failed nose job sent Priyanka into "deep depression," and she worried it would be the end of her career, she said on the Howard Stern Show, according to E! Online.

Priyanka admitted on the May 1 Howard Stern Show that it was a dark phase. When this happened to her, her face changed drastically, and she became severely depressed. The 40-year-old actor also revealed that she was let go from three film projects following surgery, leading her to conclude that her acting career was over before it started.

Priyanka's late father, Ashok Chopra, urged her to undergo corrective surgery despite her reluctance to undergo surgery again. She said that she was scared of that, but he assured her that he would be in the room with her. The actor's dad guided her through it and restored her faith in herself.

Despite everything, Priyanka said that filmmaker Anil Sharma gave her work. She was supposed to play the lead, but she was moved to a supporting role. Anil Sharma was incredibly generous, as even though the odds were stacked against her, he told her to give it her all because her role was very small. That's right, she went and did it. Anil directed Priyanka's first Hindi film, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, in 2003.

Priyanka has already discussed the operation in her upcoming 2021 memoir, titled Unfinished.

The Russo Brothers' Citadel is Priyanka's most recent professional endeavour. The show follows the exploits of Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka) of the international spy organisation Citadel.

Spilling the beans on the show, Priyanka remarked that the story is closely interwoven with the stunts. These epic action series are thrilling because they also include compelling narratives. There is a story kind of wrapped up in all the feats, and they get to see a lot about these characters, how they physically connect, and not just spectacular action moments. She thought that was really neat and exciting.

In Bollywood, she will appear in Farhan Akhtar's upcoming film Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. Production of the film has not yet begun.
