Flatmate slated to release on Addatimes soon: Here’s all you need to know

Addatimes has announced its original web series named Flatmate. The show, directed by Abhra Chakraborty, is about a girl and boy moving in together and their journey around being and staying ‘flatmates’.

The two, played by Sraman Chatterjee and Aishwaria Sen, have to figure out their relationship. While Sraman’s character fights to win over Aishwaria’s and become her ‘flatmate,’ they also need to figure a way to not make their friendship awkward.

Soon, the two turn into a couple and he does everything to please her. However, will things remain the same between the two?

The rom-com web series sees Sraman in the role of a stand-up comedian and Aishwaria as a choreographer and mehendi artist. It will stream in both Bengali and Hindi on Addatimes soon.

Before Flatmate, Abhra had worked on projects like Shobdo Jobdo (Hoichoi), Sufiyana 2 (Addatimes) and Krishanu Krishanu (Zee5) as a writer. While Flatmate is his debut directorial in web series, he has previously worked on the Hindi short film Cakewalk and the Bengali short film Jibito O Mrito as a director.

Sraman, on the other hand, is a popular face in the Bengali theatre scenario. The actor has worked in plays like Khoj and Manav Kaul’s Five grains of sugar. He has played the lead actor in films like Damru and Left Behind previously.

Aishwaria is a Bengali Television actress who was a part of Subho Drishti with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta. She is yet to work in a Bengali film but has been a part of two web series namely Utsober Pore and Dhoyasa.

Flatmate is the first time when Sraman and Aishwaria will be collaborating on screen. It is also their first time working with Abhra.
