K-drama fans rejoice! Your favourite thriller series, Flower of Evil is now coming soon on Lionsgate Play. Released in 2020, the K-drama became an instant hit due to its gripping suspense and mysterious narrative. Even its garnered 8.5/10 rating on IMDb. Streaming platform Lionsgate Play, which is widely known for bringing some of the most underrated Hollywood entertainment, is now also taking its chance in the Korean industry as craze for K-dramas are increasing day by day.
The K-drama, Flower of Evil is set to release on Lionsgate Play, on January 17, 2025. Interestingly, Indian fans will also be able to watch the drama through OTTplay Premium. The K-drama boasts an ensemble star-cast including Lee Joon-Gi, Moon Chae-Won, Kim Ji-Hoon in the leads, along with Jang Hae-Jin, Seo Hyeon-Woo, Choi Dae-Hoon, and Kim Soo-Oh in pivotal roles.
The narrative revolves around Baek Hee-Sung, a man who appears to be a loving husband and father, is living a dual life, and keeping a dark secret from his wife. He hides his true identity and a dangerous past, pretending to be someone he's not. His wife, who is a detective by profession, starts to notice things don't add up. While she investigates a string of brutal murders, she uncovers clues that point towards her husband's involvement.
On the other hand, Baek Hee-Sung, despite his outward appearance of kindness, is a deeply troubled individual. He has become cold and heartless, capable of inflicting immense pain. His past has left him emotionally scarred, transforming him into a dangerous and unpredictable man.
For the unversed among Indian K-drama lovers, the Flower of Evil K-drama has an Indian and Hindi language adaptation released in the year 2022. The web series titled–Duranga, starring Gulshan Devaiah, Drashti Dhami, and Amit Sadh, is the Hindi adaptation, which is currently streaming on ZEE5. Interestingly, you will also be able to watch this Hindi adaptation through OTTplay Premium. While Gulshan Devaiah played the role of the husband Baek Hee-Sung, Drashti Dhami played the role of the detective wife.
