Kubbra Sait certainly seems to have bagged one of the most unique roles of her careers in the Apple TV+ series Foundation. The Sacred Games actress recently shared a BTS video from the sets of the upcoming science fiction drama which suggests that her appearance in the show will certainly be striking. The short clip shows the star sitting motionless on a chair as a bustle of people surround her to fit her for prosthetics.

According to Mid-Day, Kubbra Sait’s character on the show will be called Phara. In addition to Sait the show’s cast includes Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton and Alfred Enoch, among others.

Based on a series of books by Isaac Asimov, Foundation is set in an interplanetary world, where the entire galaxy is ruled by a Galactic Empire. When a professor discovers a science to predict the future, he realises that the future does not bode well for his galaxy, unless he can do something about it. He forms an unlikely alliance with a group of exiles to save his world from imminent doom.

David S. Goyer is on board as producer of the series had talked about his uncertainties regarding the ambitious project to the BBC, which even prolific director James Cameron had called a difficult one to do. Due to the complexities and length of its stories, the book series was long thought to be one that was unfilmable. The books were initially published as short stories and then as a three volume book collection.

The upcoming series will premiere on 24 September on Apple TV+.
