‘Freddy’: Kartik Aaryan shares a new clip of his transformation: Pushing my boundaries physically and mentally

Kartik Aaryan's upcoming movie, Freddy, will feature him in a never-before-seen avatar. Kartik claimed in a social media post that portraying the complicated character of a dentist with a sinister secret had been a transformational experience for him. Kartik is shown in the opening of the video learning how to hold a knife like a dentist. He can also be seen practising for the part and talking with the film's director, Shashanka Ghosh, on how to approach particular scenes. Actor Alaya F also stars in the film opposite Kartik. Ekta Kapoor's 'Freddy', a romantic thriller packed with unpredictable twists and sharp turns.

In the caption, he said, “From gaining 14 kgs to going to a clinic and learning skills from a dentist. Becoming #Freddy has been one never-forgettable journey for me...Pushing my boundaries mentally and physically to forget my real self and turn into Freddy for reel. Glad to have worked with an amazing team for this challenging on-screen transformation.”

Earlier, Kartik shared a collage showing off his abs after he put on weight to perform his part in the movie. Through his post, the actor also discussed how difficult it was for him to portray Dr. Freddy and how it caused him to have restless nights. Sharing the post, Kartik wrote, "This is the Origin Story of Freddy which put me under a lot of physical strain and sleepless nights. Seldom comes such opportunities where we get to showcase a completely different side and Freddy is that character."

Freddy is all set to premiere on December 2 on Disney Plus Hotstar. In addition to Freddy, Kartik Aaryan will also be seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha with Kiara Advani. Both the film are all set to release in theatres in 2023. The actor will also be seen in Kabir Khan's untitled next and Aashiqui 3.
