Actor-filmmaker Sasikumar who was recently seen in Tourist Family which is currently running in theatres successfully, will be next seen in Freedom, an upcoming Tamil film co-starring Lijomol Jose. The film is set to have a July release.

Freedom is an upcoming Tamil film which will have Sasikumar and Lijomol Jose in the lead roles. On Friday, the makers of the film announced that Freedom will have a theatrical release on July 10. Freedom is directed by Sathyasiva who has made films like Kazhugu, and Naan Mirugamaai Maara featuring Sasikumar.

Actor Sasikumar, who has been choosing his films wisely, with good like Ayothi and Tourist Family, is expected to deliver another content-driven film with Freedom. Meanwhile, Lijomol Jose has already been seen in three films this year, including Kaadhal Enbadhu Podhu Udamai, Daveed and Gentlewoman. Th e actors will be working first time together. Freedom will release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The technical crew consists of music by Ghibran and NS Uthayakumar cranking the camera. Srikanth NB is the editor.

Tourist Family OTT release

Tourist Family is a family comedy drama, also starring Simran, Mithun Jaishankar, Kamalesh Jegan, Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, MS Bhaskar and others. The film will stream on JioHotstar once it completes theatrical run, sometime in end of May. The film is about a Sri Lankan Tamil family who flee their country amid economic crisis and come to India with the home to start a new life. Directed by Abishan Jeevinth in his directorial debut, the film opened to positive reviews.
