Seventeen years is a long wait - trust us, as Friends fans, we know. Now that the gang of six is back to recall their favourite memories from the iconic show, HBO has shared glimpses into the guest star list for the reunion. Titled Friends Reunion, or as fans like to call it The One Where They Get Back Together, is all set to make fans take a trip down the memory lane on May 27.

Featured alongside Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer and Lisa Kudrow are 30 guest stars in this unscripted episode. Before the episode airs - and you, as a fallen Friends fan, find yourself having trouble placing some of the guest stars - here is a list of all recurring characters from the show who are returning for the reunion.

Elliott Gould

The Friends reunion will be incomplete without Phoebe’s secret crush Mr Jack Geller. As Monica and Ross’ father on Friends, Elliott Gould’s character proved to be a source of laughter and lessons for the siblings.

Larry Hankin

We despise Mr Heckles (as any Friends fan would) but that doesn’t mean we haven’t missed him. Larry Hankin, who played Monica’s irritable downstairs neighbour, successfully managed to make audiences relate to the show even more.

Thomas Lennon

When Lennon is not too busy screenwriting, he is evading Joey’s demand to enter into business as identical hand twins. Featured in The One In Vegas, Lennon plays the blackjack dealer in the casino the gang is staying at when Joey ambushes in order to persuade him to start a show together.

Tom Selleck

No one hates Richard more than Chandler, but fans actually really liked him. Tom Selleck’s Richard was not only Monica’s ophthalmologist, but also her first real boyfriend. Their breakup was so heartbreakingly real - the two could not agree on their paths for the future.

Christina Pickles

Christina Pickles’ Judy Geller might not be the ideal mother, but she was definitely the sassiest one out there. From nitpicking on Monica to being supportive of all of Ross’ divorces, Mrs Geller was the most frequently seen mother from the gang.

James Michael Tyler

Gunther Central Perk is back! James Michael Tyler’s character, with hair as bright as the sun and an irresistible sex appeal according to Phoebe, was perhaps the only man who loved Rachel unconditionally.

Maggie Wheeler

For the longest time, fans actually thought that the same unknown force that kept bringing Chandler and Janice back together would make her Ross’ one and only. Maggie Wheeler, who is nothing like her annoying on-screen character in real life, is definitely going to be the highlight of the episode.

Reese Witherspoon

If having a star as big as Jennifer Aniston on set wasn’t enough, the showrunners decided to bring Reese Witherspoon in as Jill, Rachel’s younger sister who is shocked when their father cuts her off and she has to make it in the world all by herself. She proceeds to seduce Ross, set Rachel’s teeth on edge and make us realise that perhaps Rachel is not as spoilt as we thought she was.
