Matthew Perry, who played the character of Chandler Bing on the most loved shows of all time, Friends, shared that he would ‘sweat and shake’ on the sets of the show. The actor was nervous about people not laughing while they were shooting the show with a studio audience.

A report on The Telegraph (UK) quoted him saying, “I felt like I was going to die if they didn’t laugh...I would sweat and shake.”

Matthew has a history of mental health and substance abuse, which added to the stress. He confessed not being a fan of shooting for the show in front of the studio audience.

Friends, the popular sit-com, revolved around six reckless adults living in New York City, who found friends in one another, after having each other’s backs through the years.

On the show, Chandler shared his apartment with Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc), and ended up getting married to Monica Geller (Courteney Cox).

17 years after the series ended, it is now back with a special episode called Friends: The Reunion. The show brings back Monica, Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), Joey, Chandler, Rachel Greene (Jennifer Aniston), and Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) after nearly two decades. Interestingly the actors did not come together even once after the show ended in 2004, as per their own confession.

For the uninitiated, Matthew, David and Jennifer were almost going to reject the iconic show back in 1994. While David had given up on Television, Matthew and Jennifer had a packed schedule. However, things finally worked out and they all came together for the show and we’re glad they did!
