Matthew Perry’s last Instagram post goes viral
The picture posted on October 23 shows Matthew soaking in moonlight while in his hot tub. “Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I’m Mattman,” the late actor wrote. Matthew often used the moniker ‘Mattman’ in his captions, drawing a connection to the superhero Batman.
Recalling his days from Friends and how lonely he felt on the set, Matthew once said, “I was in the white-hot flame of fame. The six of us were just everywhere all the time. From an outsider’s perspective, it would seem like I had it all. It was actually a very lonely time for me, because I was suffering from alcoholism. It was going on before Friends, but it’s a progressive disease. I wasn’t a massive party guy. I wasn’t a bull-in-a-china-shop kind of drinker.”
Matthew’s fight against depression
Talking about his days of battling depression during the filming of Friends, Matthew said that while everyone was sobbing over the final episode of Friends in 2004, he was numb and felt nothing.
